The power outage schedules are in place throughout the day, with the highest volume from 11:00 to 22:00 am amid the heat wave. Emergency shutdowns have been canceled as equipment that had been out of service was brought back online. The bad weather left 166 settlements in two regions without electricity. This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo on Wednesday, UNN reports.
Consumption
"Power engineers have put back into operation the equipment that was out of order at one of the power facilities yesterday. Emergency blackouts in all regions have been canceled. Hourly outage schedules are currently in effect," the statement said.
Today, on July 17, regional power distribution companies are to apply consumption restrictions throughout the day. According to the forecast, the heat will remain at its maximum level today.
"Due to the increase in consumption during the heatwave, four blackout queues will be in effect from 11:00 to 22:00. From 22:00 to 24:00, three stages will be in effect," Ukrenergo emphasized.
Import and export
Due to the abnormal heat and increased consumption in Europe , imports will remain at a reduced level. It is planned to import a total of 24,959 MWh from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary, with a maximum capacity of 1,271 MW. No exports are taking place and are not planned.
De-energization
Due to a thunderstorm and high winds, 166 settlements in Zakarpattia and Lviv regions are without power supply in full and partially in the morning.
As of this morning, 493 settlements remain without power for other reasons.
Due to hostilities: there are power outages in Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.
For technical reasons: power outages in Dnipropetrovska, Kirovohradska, Odeska, Chernihivska oblasts.
