The deputy head of the Kyiv-based municipal utility company SHEU will be tried - according to the investigation, the defendant, in a conversation with a Kyiv resident, claimed that he would asphalt the road, but without an official contract for UAH 500,000 in his "own pocket." This is stated in the press service of the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports.

According to the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office, the deputy head of the Municipal Enterprise "Road Maintenance and Repair Service of Solomyansky District" in Kyiv Kyiv, extorted UAH 500,000 from a Kyiv resident for asphalting a road near a private house she was planning to buy.
The official said that he could organize the work to be done by employees of the utility company, but it would be more profitable for her to pay him rather than enter into a formal contract for the work. He estimated the cost of asphalting the road after the measurements at UAH 500,000
According to the investigation, the defendant received an "advance" of USD 2 thousand. Then, a week later, he received another UAH 425 thousand from the woman for preparatory work on asphalting the access road.
The official was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine during the control of the crime.
The sanction of the article provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, with confiscation of property.
