Germany closes consulates in two Russian cities at once

Germany has closed its consulates in novosibirsk and yekaterinburg, immediately after the closure of the representative office in kaliningrad, transferring the affairs to the embassy in moscow and the Consulate General in St. Petersburg.

Germany, which recently closed its Consulate General in kaliningrad, russia, is closing its diplomatic missions in novosibirsk and yekaterinburg. This is stated on the consulate's websites, UNN reports.

A similar message is posted on the website  of the representative office in novosibirsk.

Addendum 

The day before it became known that Germany had closed its consulate in the russian city of kaliningrad. The ministry stated that the Consulate General in St. Petersburg is responsible for consular and passport issues in the district of the Consulate General in kaliningrad.

As a reminder,

Germany was forced to close some of its consulates in russia after Berlin reduced the number of its civil servants in Russia to 350 people at the request of the Russians. 

At the same time, the German Foreign Ministry warned that with such a number of employees, it would be difficult for consulates to continue their regular work.
