German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that Berlin views Ukraine as a strategic partner in the field of defense and will continue military support for the Ukrainian state. This was reported by dpa, according to UNN.
"Germany and Ukraine are strategic partners in the field of defense," Pistorius stated.
According to him, cooperation between the countries covers not only the supply of weapons but also joint projects in the defense industry and military technology.
Pistorius also emphasized that Germany remains one of Ukraine's key partners in Europe and will continue to help strengthen the defense capability of the Ukrainian state.
The Minister stressed that supporting Ukraine is important not only for Ukraine itself but also for the security of all of Europe.
According to dpa, during the visit, issues of further weapons supplies, cooperation between defense companies, and long-term support for the Ukrainian military were discussed.
