The Georgian Post has temporarily stopped sending parcels weighing up to 2 kg to the United States from May 1, 2024. The reasons and duration of the restriction were not disclosed, but parcels over 2 kg can be sent without any problems.

Items and packages with documents weighing up to 2 kg are considered small parcels.

Small parcels sent from May 1 will be returned, and the amount paid for the shipment will be refunded to senders.

It is not reported what caused the temporary suspension. It is not known how long the restriction will last.

At the same time, parcels weighing more than 2 kilograms can be sent from Georgia to the United States without any obstacles.
