General Staff: 47 combat engagements over the day, most of them in the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka sectors

47 combat engagements took place in the Ukrainian frontline over the last day. Militants are advancing in six sectors. The most active areas are Bakhmut and Novopavlivka. This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UNN reports.

Over the last day, 47 combat engagements were registered. In total, the enemy launched 6 missile and 65 air strikes, fired 61 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and localities.

The enemy is not advancing in the Kupyansk sector, but is systematically shelling the region with aircraft, artillery and mortars.

In the Liman sector, Russians tried to break through Ukrainian defenses three times in the area of Terny in Donetsk region. Our defenders repelled all enemy attacks.

In the Bakhmut sector, our soldiers withstood 17 attacks by Russian army troops advancing with the support of air power near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, as well as Vyymka, Rozdolivka, Chasoah Yar and Klishchiyivka, Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Umanske and Pervomayske.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka. Here, Russians tried to break through the defense of our troops 14 times under the cover of aviation.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to attack the positions of our defenders near Staromayorske in Donetsk region once.

In the Kherson sector, the enemy made five unsuccessful assaults, trying to drive our units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. In particular, the occupiers made an attempt near the village of Krynky in Kherson region.
