The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the holding of presidential elections in the occupied territories of Ukraine and the separatist regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova. This is stated in a statement by the French Foreign Ministry, UNN reports.

It is noted that the elections in russia took place against the backdrop of increased repression and restrictions on freedom of speech. In addition, the absence of candidates who support the end of the war reduced their pluralism.
The conditions for free, pluralistic and democratic elections were not met again
France also condemns russia's organization of so-called "elections" on the Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by russia: in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as in parts of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
The agency emphasizes that the illegal organization of the so-called "elections" in the Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by russia is another violation of international law and the UN Charter.
France does not and will never recognize the holding and results of these so-called "elections" and reaffirms its commitment to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Ukraine
Also , France condemns russia's establishment of polling stations in the separatist regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova without the consent of the Georgian and Moldovan authorities.
