The information about the alleged spread of Dengue fever in Ukraine is another fake by the enemy. Ukraine is not on the list of countries where cases of the infectious disease have been recorded this year. This was reported by the Ministry of Health, UNN reports.
Disinformation about the spread of Dengue fever in Ukraine is spreading online. VoxCheck fact-checkers have studied the fake spread by the enemy in telegram channels. As it turned out, they distorted the words of a Ukrainian infectious disease doctor who wrote about the symptoms of Dengue fever in her personal blog
The agency also pointed out that the main threat of the spread of Dengue fever in Europe is the aedes albopictus mosquito - "tiger mosquitoes". According to the WHO, Dengue, previously typical of Africa and Asia, is now spreading to other areas.
As of June 2024, the WHO reported more than 10 million cases since the beginning of the year. As the Ministry of Health emphasized, Ukraine is not among these countries.

In April, it was reported that the wife of Ukraine's ambassador to Brazil, Andriy Melnyk, had contracted Dengue fever. An embassy employee and his wife also contracted this dangerous disease.

Dengue fever is an acute infectious disease. The incubation period lasts 3-15 days. The disease usually starts suddenly: chills, headache, severe pain in the back, sacrum, spine, and joints (especially knees) appear. Fever is observed in all patients, and the body temperature quickly rises to 39-40°C.
