"Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, a retired judge of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has been notified of suspicion of hooliganism involving the use of a weapon," the statement reads.
It was established that "in early May 2026, a man who at that time was an active judge of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv was reprimanded for loudly playing Russian music in the evening from a car near a children's playground." "The judge responded to the remark with obscene language, got out of the car, and started a conflict. During the quarrel, he took out a firearm, demonstratively brought it into combat readiness, and pointed it at the opponents. At the same time, he did not respond to requests from people to calm down," the prosecutor's office reported.
One of the men, as reported, "knocked the judge to the ground to take the weapon, but he managed to fire three unaimed shots, creating a real threat to the life and health of people who were nearby and witnessed the conflict."
