European countries must accelerate rearmament and take Ukrainian experience into account, as it is impossible to build an effective security system on the continent without Ukraine. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, during a conversation with the media alongside the leaders of the Nordic and Baltic countries and the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports UNN.
According to her, the war in Ukraine has demonstrated the decisive role of modern technologies and innovations on the battlefield, so Europe must focus specifically on these areas.
"We, as Europeans, must rearm, develop the necessary capabilities and innovations right now, because it is innovation that determines the outcome on the battlefield. We see this in Ukraine every day,"
The Prime Minister emphasized that supporting Ukraine is a vital component of the security of the entire European continent.
"Ukraine needs Europe. But it is equally important that Europe is now supporting Ukraine. In my opinion, it is quite simple: Europe cannot effectively rearm without Ukraine,"
