Today, the Council of the European Union praised the decision to allocate additional funding for the training of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. An additional 194 million euros have been allocated . UNN reports this with reference to the press service of the EU Council.
Financial assistance to Ukraine now amounts to 255 million euros.
The funds will be allocated through the European Peace Fund (EPF) for the necessary lethal and non-lethal equipment, as well as training for Ukrainian soldiers.
The aim of today's decision is to continue supporting the capacity building of the Ukrainian armed forces, based on Ukraine's needs and taking into account the growing volume and complexity of the training program
Since October 2022, more than 34,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been trained by the EU training mission.
