England's Aston Villa has won Europe's second most prestigious club football tournament, the Europa League. In the final match held at the Beşiktaş Park stadium in the Turkish capital, Istanbul, the British side convincingly defeated Germany's Freiburg, UNN reports.

Already in the first half, Aston Villa secured a comfortable lead of 2-0 thanks to goals from Youri Tielemans and Emiliano Buendía.
After the break, the English side did not slow down: in the 58th minute, Morgan Rogers made it a 3-0 rout.
It is worth adding that in the Europa League round of 16, Aston Villa beat French side Lille (1-0 and 2-1), in the quarter-finals they bypassed Italy's Bologna (3-1 and 4-0), and in the semi-finals they overcame their compatriots Nottingham Forest (a 0-1 loss and a 4-0 victory).
