In the "South" area of responsibility, only four nights were free of drone attacks in December. In total, more than 270 enemy drones were launched in December. In some areas, FPV drones are beginning to replace artillery. This was reported by the spokesperson for the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine Natalia Gumenyuk during a briefing, according to a correspondent of UNN.
Almost every night in December, the occupiers carried out drone attacks. Speaking from the first day of December to the present day, four nights were free of drone attacks in our area of responsibility. Let me remind you once again that our area of responsibility is Vinnytsia, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson regions, part of Dnipro region - Kryvyi Rih district and part of Kirovohrad region. Speaking about the intensity of drone attacks, the most powerful one was on December 14, when 39 units were destroyed, and in December we counted more than 270 drones launched in our area of responsibility
According to her, another characteristic feature of December, in particular, was the enemy's use of FPV drones in increased activity.
"In some areas, FPV drones are beginning to replace enemy artillery, which we are destroying, knocking out and striking at firing positions. We have counted 112 attacks by FPV drones, and in parallel, a complex of unmanned aerial vehicles to which the enemy attaches fragmentation munitions - more than 220 such munitions were fired at the civilian population of Kherson region. The right bank is particularly affected by such attacks," said Gumenyuk.
She noted that over the past two weeks, the enemy has intensified these activities on the opposite bank of the Dnipro-Bug Estuary, the bank opposite the temporarily occupied Kinzburg Spit.

During a night attack in Odesa region, the enemy hit of the territory of an infrastructure facility, and in Mykolaiv region, they hit an industrial facility. There were no casualties.
