Poland has scrambled military aircraft into the sky due to Russia's attack on Ukraine. The agency announced this on social network X, UNN informs.

It is noted that due to the intensive activity of the Russian long-range aviation, which strikes at objects located, in particular, in western Ukraine, "Polish and allied aviation began to operate in our airspace".
In accordance with current procedures, the operational commander of the Armed Forces mobilized all available forces and means. On-duty fighter pairs were involved, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were brought to the highest state of readiness.
The agency indicated that the measures taken are aimed at ensuring security "in areas adjacent to the threatening territories".
"The Operational Command of the Armed Forces is monitoring the situation, and subordinate forces and means remain in full readiness to respond immediately," the Polish Ministry of Defense added.
