Due to a power surge, equipment at a pumping station burned down, leaving the Kalmius district of occupied Mariupol without water supply.

Russian occupants tried to reconnect the backup power supply from Zaporizhzhya region to Donetsk, as a result of the power surge, the equipment of the pumping station burned down and Kalmius district of Mariupol was left without water supply.  This was reported on Tuesday by the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andriushchenko, UNN reports.

Kalmius district of Mariupol is without water supply.  Due to the attempt of Russians to reconnect the backup power supply from Zaporizhzhya region to the backup power supply from Donetsk, there was a voltage surge. Even in the city's household network, the voltage is now 250 volts.  As a result, the equipment at the pumping station burned down

- Andriushchenko wrote on social media.

He said that it is unknown how long it will take to replace it. 

According to Andriushchenko, the Russians are silent. Therefore, he urged residents to stock up on water. According to him, "it could be for a long time".
