In order to improve road safety, law enforcement officers are appealing to drivers with important reminders to comply with traffic rules. This was reported by the Patrol Police of Kyiv, reports UNN.

1. Safety when changing direction of movement: Before changing lanes or turning, drivers must ensure the safety of the maneuver. It is especially important to avoid any obstacles to other road users.
2. Give way to pedestrians and vehicles: When leaving courtyards, parking lots or adjacent roads, do not forget to give way to pedestrians and vehicles moving on the main road.
3. Rules of rearrangement: When changing lanes, it is important to give way to vehicles moving in the same direction on the lane you intend to rearrange to.
4. Take the correct position when turning: Before turning right or left, try to occupy the appropriate extreme lane, unless otherwise indicated by road signs or markings.
5. Give way when turning around: If you are turning left or making a U-turn, especially outside an intersection, always give way to oncoming vehicles.
6. Restrictions on U-turns in certain places: It is important to remember that U-turns are prohibited at railway crossings, bridges, tunnels, pedestrian crossings, as well as in other places with limited visibility.
7. Be careful when reversing: When reversing, drivers must avoid creating obstacles and dangers for other road users.
