It is noted that Kim, who is about 170 centimeters tall and used to weigh 140 kilograms, lost a significant amount of weight in 2021, probably due to a change in diet. But recent state media footage shows that he has regained weight.
On Monday, South Korea's National Intelligence Service (NIS) told members of parliament during a closed-door briefing that Kim again weighs about 140 kilograms and is at high risk of certain diseases.
According to NIS, Kim has been showing signs of high blood pressure and diabetes since he was 30, so it is likely that he will eventually suffer from heart disease if he does not take care of his health.
Rep. Park Sung-won noted that, according to intelligence, Kim's obesity is linked to alcohol abuse, smoking, and stress.

The intelligence agency emphasized that North Korea is one of the most closed countries in the world, so it is almost impossible to find out accurate information about Kim's health.
