The reason for the crash of the DHL plane in Vilnius was most likely due to technical problems. This was stated by the head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense Laurinas Kasciunas, writes UNN with reference to Deutsche Welle.

According to Kasciunas, visual analysis showed that there was no external impact on the landing aircraft, and conversations with surviving crew members indicate that there was no chaos or anxiety on board before the crash, as well as no smoke or smell was recorded.
The head of the National Crisis Management Center, Vilmantas Vitkauskas, said that investigators are still leaning towards the technical cause of the incident. "If we get additional data, we can change the direction, but at the moment we don't have it," he told reporters.
