Furthermore, Rodriguez accused the U.S. of pressuring UN member states to postpone debates scheduled for July 7 regarding U.S. sanctions against Cuba. These debates traditionally precede the UN General Assembly vote calling for the lifting of the embargo, which is non-binding.
