In occupied Mariupol, the Russians cannot establish the work of public utilities - the city has a catastrophic situation with sewerage networks and water supply pipes. This was stated by the Mariupol City Council, UNN reports.
Details
It is noted that residents of the city constantly complain about the breakdown of sewer networks and water supply pipes. As a result, basements and streets are flooded with waste, and many people have no water for weeks.
The city council says the reason for is that the occupiers severely damaged the networks during massive shelling in the spring of 2022. Instead, they have not replaced any of them for more than two years of occupation.

Collectors also remain in poor condition. In particular, in the spring of this year, a sewer collector burst in the Kalmius district. The collector in the central district of the city is also damaged, and as a result, the occupiers' new buildings are flooded with sewage.
In addition, there is only one emergency service in the city, and it is impossible to wait for it. There is also a lack of equipment.
Addendum
The Mariupol City Council emphasizes that in Ukraine's Mariupol, water supply and sewage were given special attention.
In particular, almost 90 km of pipes were replaced in 2020 and 2021. The main water pipeline and pressure sewer were reconstructed.
Recall
The occupation authorities of Mariupol have published another list of ownerless apartments in the Left Bank district. It is there that massive shelling of residential neighborhoods took place during the blockade and thousands of civilians died.
