The latest Marvel movie from Sony Pictures, Kraven The Hunter, grossed a record low $11 million in its first weekend, UNN reports citing NME.

According to Variety and Forbes, Craven the Hunter earned only $11 million in the United States and is expected to bring in similarly poor revenues in foreign markets in the first three days of release.
That would make Craven the lowest-grossing film on Sony's Marvel slate, which in 2022 includes Morbius and another box office flop this year, Madame Web. However, despite the fact that Madame Web was a box office flop, Craven seems to be having even more difficulties.
Compared to the $11 million raised by Craven the Hunter, Morbius grossed $33 million in its first weekend, and Madame Spider-Man grossed $26.2 million - the latter was recognized as the lowest for a Marvel character at the time, now surpassed by Craven.
Currently, two box office giants are showing in cinemas alongside Craven the Hunter: Wicked and Moana 2.
Craven the Hunter, which was made with a budget of $110 million and is not expected to break even in December, stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as a big game hunter who is on a path of revenge due to a difficult relationship with his father, played by Russell Crowe.
"Craven the Hunter" is the sixth installment in Sony's Spider-Man universe, following the three films ‘Venom,’ ‘Morbius’ and "Madame Spider-Man." Like many of its predecessors in the franchise, it was not well received by critics before its release last Friday, December 13.

After Craven the Hunter, leading actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson will return to the big screen in Robert Egger's Nosferatu in the UK in January 2025 and at Christmas in the US.
This year, Taylor-Johnson was also called the next James Bond. In March, it was reported that EON Production offered Taylor-Johnson the job after he impressed producers at a screen test. The actor was asked about these rumors in April, but he dodged the question, as he has done many times before. Neither he nor the producers have confirmed or denied the speculation.
