In Odesa region, a case against a former educator of a rehabilitation center, who is accused of torturing a 6-year-old pupil, has been sent to court. According to the investigation, the child suffered physical and psychological abuse. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, writes UNN.
In an institution where children are supposed to be safe, cruel treatment of a 6-year-old pupil was recorded. The indictment is already in court.
Prosecutors of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Prosecutor's Office sent a case to court against a 48-year-old former educator of a children's rehabilitation center. She is charged with torture (Part 1 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) - intentional actions aimed at inflicting severe physical pain and moral suffering for the purpose of coercion or punishment.
In December 2025, according to the investigation, a conflict arose between the institution's employee and the child.
The adult's reaction was brutal: she pulled the boy off the sofa, hit him on the head, and dragged him by the arms down the stairs. As a result, the child sustained numerous abrasions and bruises.
It was established that even despite crying and pleas to stop, the accused continued actions that caused not only physical pain but also significant moral suffering and humiliation.
During the pre-trial investigation, the woman was suspended from her position, and later she resigned voluntarily.
