The High Anti-Corruption Court has remanded in custody a former official of the capital's customs office who built a hotel in Bukovel using "dirty" money, UNN reports, citing the HACC.
Details
The HACC investigating judge supported the position of the SAPO prosecutor and changed the measure of restraint for the former deputy head of the Kyiv customs.
Given that the suspect did not pay the bail set by the court, namely 20 million UAH, the prosecution filed a motion with the court to change the measure of restraint from bail to detention with an alternative of bail.
The court partially granted the motion and applied a measure of restraint to the suspect in the form of detention with an alternative of 15 million UAH bail.
In compliance with the court's decision, the individual was taken into custody in the courtroom.
Recall
The former official of the capital's customs was exposed for laundering over 2 million US dollars, which he invested in the construction of a hotel complex in Bukovel.
