Bugatti is preparing a new exclusive hypercar based on the Tourbillon

Bugatti is developing a unique hypercar, the Solitaire, which will combine features of the Tourbillon and Bolide models. The presentation of the new model could take place as early as this summer.

The Bugatti Tourbillon was unveiled in 2024, and now, as customer deliveries begin in 2026, the Molsheim-based automaker is preparing its next major project—an even more extreme version of the V16 hypercar. This was reported by The Supercar Blog, according to UNN.

Details

According to The Supercar Blog, the next Bugatti model will be a fusion of the Tourbillon and the Bugatti Bolide—the track-only hypercar based on the Chiron. The new version of the Tourbillon will reportedly be part of the Programme Solitaire—Bugatti's division that creates highly bespoke coachbuilt special editions. This division has already produced unique vehicles such as the one-off Brouillard and the F.K.P. Hommage.

It is noted that the third Solitaire model will be a combination of the Bolide and the Tourbillon, but details are currently scarce, so it is unknown whether it will be strictly track-only. At the same time, participation in Programme Solitaire suggests that this model will not be mass-produced like the 40 units of the Bolide. It is likely to be a unique one-off vehicle rather than a small series.

In any case, this is a very expensive and exclusive project. Reportedly, like the Bolide, it could be based on the Chiron platform. Production of the Bolide concluded late last year, effectively closing the W16 era, but the new report hints that the 8.0-liter quad-turbo engine has not yet finally become a thing of the past.

If you were expecting a "charged" version of the hybrid V16 Tourbillon—that is also expected to happen eventually. As with the Bugatti Veyron and Bugatti Chiron, Bugatti has traditionally released Super Sport variants, and a similar version for the Tourbillon is almost inevitable.

When the new model will be revealed

According to sources, the new unique Bugatti could be presented at the end of the second quarter (approximately next month) or at the beginning of the third quarter (likely in July).

While the exact date is unknown, the source previously accurately predicted the debut of the F.K.P. Hommage, so the information is considered quite reliable.

Each year, Programme Solitaire produces no more than two coachbuilt unique cars. Although the F.K.P. Hommage was completed back in 2025, this new model will be one of two possible releases in 2026.

So far, there is no official data from Bugatti, so the information remains at the level of rumors. However, given the demand among ultra-wealthy clients for unique cars, the new project could be officially revealed in the near future.
