Russia will not significantly reduce the size of its armed forces after the end of the war against Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, reports UNN.
Details
According to him, this would not correspond to the Russian defense strategy.
They will not significantly reduce the number of armed forces. And absolutely not, there are absolutely logical explanations for this. First of all, they need this number, according to their strategy
According to him, now half of the Russian military budget is "eaten up" by relevant payments: surcharges to soldiers, one-time payments for signing a contract, final payments if the occupier lives to the end of the contract, payments for injuries, payments for death, etc.
"When the war ends, all these payments end, the problems go away and a huge budget is freed up. Therefore, there will be no reduction," the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine explained.
Let us remind you
