The head of European diplomacy stressed that he understands dissatisfaction of some European countries with the decision of North Macedonia to allow Lavrov to take part in the ministerial meeting.

Borrel believes that Russian Minister Lavrov "should to hear" criticism from other participants, in particular about why Russia ended up in the isolation after a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
