Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanked "Ukrzaliznytsia" for delivering her safely and quickly to Kyiv. She showed a personalized train ticket, which listed the route as "Full Przemyśl - free Kyiv - svabodny Minsk."
Immediately after her arrival, Tsikhanouskaya went to the grave of Belarusian volunteer Maria Zaitseva, who died in the battles for Ukraine.
"She symbolizes not only our resistance to dictatorship but also Ukrainian-Belarusian solidarity. It was very important for me to start this visit by honoring a person who gave her life for the freedom of Ukraine and Belarus," Tsikhanouskaya wrote. Source:
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya saw with her own eyes the consequences of yesterday's Russian attack on the capital's districts. One of them is the Lukyanivka district, which was heavily damaged: numerous fires broke out, and the "Kvadrat" shopping and entertainment center was completely destroyed.
"Every such strike only further demonstrates the true essence of the Putin regime — a regime that recognizes neither human life, nor international law, nor borders," she noted.
"I want Ukrainians to know: Belarusians are with you. We support Ukraine not because it is 'politically correct,' but because we feel this pain as our own. We see your courage after every attack. This is true strength. And I am confident: no missile can break a people fighting for their freedom and their dignity," Tsikhanouskaya emphasized.
