Today there was an assassination attempt on the commander of "Khartia" Ihor Obolensky; the attacker and his accomplice have been detained. This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who added that he had a conversation with Obolensky, reports UNN.

I spoke with the commander of "Khartia" Ihor Obolensky. There was an assassination attempt on Ihor today. The attacker and his accomplice have been detained. The necessary procedural actions are underway 

According to him, there was a report from Oleksandr Poklad on this matter.

We will definitely respond to this attempt to strike Ukraine and the Ukrainian commander. I thanked Ihor for his service and wished him to strike the occupiers even harder. Glory to Ukraine!
