Amy Pietz ("The Paradise", "Caroline in the City") joins the prequel series to the dilogy "Legally Blonde" - "Elle", which is in production. Pietz will play Donna, a pragmatic high school secretary.

She will join the previously announced cast:
- Lexi Meintry will play Elle;
- June Diana Raphael as the main character's mother, Eva;
- Tom Everett Scott will play Elle's father, Wyatt;
- Gabriel Polikano as Liz;
- Jacob Moscowitz as Miles;
- Chandler Kinney will appear as high school student Kimberly;
- Zach Luker as Dustin; Jessica Belkin as Madison;
- Logan Schroer as Josh.
Series author Laura Kitrell tells the story of high school student Elle Woods and focuses on the formation of the life experience that shaped the heroine into the iconic young woman that the viewer sees in the first film "Legally Blonde."
Showrunners Kittrell and Caroline Dryes served as executive producers of the series along with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter of Hello Sunshine and film producer Mark Platto. Jason Moore directs the first two episodes.
"Elle" is produced by Hello Sunshine and Amazon MGM Studios. Pietz played Marsha in the popular series Rai (Hulu Paradise) starring Sterling K. Brown.
Her acting portfolio also includes roles in the NBC series "The Office"; "Wolf Pack" from Paramount+; "Love, Victor" from Hulu; "Exemplary American Family" (American Family) from ABC; and "By the Laws of Wolves" "Animal Kingdom" from TNT.
