Germany plans to transfer short- and medium-range IRIS-T systems, PzH-2000 and Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery systems, Leopard 1A5 tanks and other weapons to Ukraine by the end of this year. This was reported by Major General of the Bundeswehr Christian Freuding, according to UNN.
According to him, it is planned to supply Ukraine:
- two batteries of IRIS-T SLM medium-range air defense systems;
- two IRIS-T SLS short-range batteries;
- 10 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns;
- 12 SAU PzH 2000;
- four Zuzana 2;
- about 30 Leopard 1A5 tanks;
- 400 MRAP armored military vehicles.
In addition, the list of aid will include an unspecified amount of small arms, ammunition, a field hospital, and other supplies. In particular, Germany will continue to support Ukraine in the field of medical supplies.
