A 50-year-old Russian citizen illegally boarded a Delta Airlines flight from New York to Paris, traveling without a ticket and valid documents. This is reported by Le Figaro, reports UNN.
Details
Upon arrival at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport, the woman was detained by Border Police, who found that she did not have travel documents. She was placed in a waiting area, from where it was planned to deport her to the United States, where she has a residence permit.
The woman explained her journey as an attempt to escape from persecution. She said that she was the victim of Polonium poisoning by Russian special services with the participation of American agents. The incident raises questions about security at airports, because the woman took advantage of the congestion of passengers to enter the plane unhindered. During the flight, she hid in the toilet, where she spent six hours until flight attendants found her before landing.
During the interrogation, it turned out that the woman has an expired "green card" of the United States, which still gives her the right to return to the States. Her Russian passport is also invalid, and her residence permit in Europe ended in 2022. French authorities planned deportation on November 30, but the woman refused to board the plane without a police escort. Her case is pending before the freedom Court, which decides on further detention.
