PJSC Ukrnafta launches a new well in western Ukraine with an initial daily oil production rate of 25-30 tons. This was announced on Monday, December 4, was reported by the company's press service, according to UNN.

It is noted that the purpose of drilling the well was to explore of reserves in the Stryian deposits. The work was carried out in a short time: the wellbore with a total length of 1244 meters was drilled in just 32 days.

During the construction of the facility, the design horizon was discovered and geophysical surveys established its prospects in terms of oil production
So far, the deposits have been perforated in the interval of 1085-1122 meters, which is about 30% of the total thickness of the oil-saturated layers of the deposits.
The development process is underway. The initial oil flow rate is 25-30 tons per day.
Ukrnafta noted that this is the third well drilled by the by the company in 2023 within one particular field, and the second of them created in partnership with BC Horizons LLC. By the end of the year, three more wells are to be built at the same field three more wells are to be constructed by the end of the year.
