A Maserati car collided with a moped in Kyiv at night, killing a passenger of the two-wheeler, the driver of the car was notified of suspicion for the fatal accident, the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office reported, UNN reports.

"The 35-year-old driver was detained and served a notice of suspicion on the fact of violation of traffic safety rules committed while intoxicated, which caused the death of a person (Part 3 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office said.
The road accident occurred on July 10 at 00:04 on Borshchahivska Street in the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv.
"According to preliminary data, the driver of a Maserati car collided with a Delivery moped. As a result of the accident, the 48-year-old passenger of the moped died at the scene of the accident, and the driver was hospitalized with numerous injuries," the prosecutor's office said.
The driver of the Maserati was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
"The Drager device recorded 1.66 ppm of alcohol in his blood," the prosecutor's office said.
The driver of the Maserati was served a notice of suspicion and a request for a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
For his actions, he faces up to ten years in prison with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to ten years.
