A two-year-old boy fell down the stairs in a private kindergarten in Kyiv and suffered head injuries; the teacher has been notified of suspicion, the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office said on Friday, UNN reports.

It was established that the children were descending from the third to the second floor by stairs. The older and middle groups walked independently.
The teacher was leading the two-year-old boy by the hand down the stairs, but released the child's hand and the boy fell down the stairs and hit his head. As a result of the fall, the child suffered a closed traumatic brain injury, which is a serious bodily injury
Then the child was taken to the Kyiv City Children's Neurosurgery Center. Currently, the boy's health condition, as indicated, is satisfactory.
The prosecutor's office noted that the kindergarten has a license, as well as thorough written rules and instructions for the behavior of educators, with which all employees are familiar.
"However, in this situation, the kindergarten considers the child, who, according to the suspect, is too active, to be guilty," the prosecutor's office said.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 3 years.
