A passenger minibus heading to the Ukrainian-Moldovan border in the middle of the night was detained at the border guard station. The driver was supposed to provide illegal transfer of "pseudo-tourists" outside the checkpoints to Moldova for a reward, UNN reports with reference to the State Border Guard Service.

According to the border guards, the vehicle was driven by a resident of Chernivtsi region. He was accompanied by 8 men of military age from Kharkiv, Donetsk, Poltava and Kyiv regions.
As it was previously established, the driver was supposed to provide the "pseudo-tourists" with an illegal transfer outside the checkpoints to Moldova for a monetary reward of 8 thousand euros per person.
Protocols were drawn up against those wishing to illegally get abroad under Art. 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine." The driver, as the organizer, faces criminal liability under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 9 years.
