Since the beginning of the protests, 224 people have been detained in Georgia. The Ministry of internal affairs and the Ministry of health of the country said that none of the protesters were seriously injured during the dispersal of actions near the parliament in Tbilisi on December 1-2. In total, 113 employees of the Ministry of internal affairs were injured in recent days of protests in Tbilisi, four of whom are still in hospitals.
The Special Investigation Service began considering possible cases of abuse of force by the police after the distribution of video materials from the scene in the media and social networks. However, so far no one has been detained and no charges have been brought.
The interior ministry also reported that during the protests, some participants damaged the parliament building, municipal and private property, erected barricades on Rustaveli Avenue and set fire to part of the property. The police detained two people. Both were charged with assaulting law enforcement officers and damaging property. Under these articles, they face up to seven years in prison.
A total of 224 people have been detained since the beginning of the protests for disorderly conduct and disobedience to the police. The court has already considered 98 cases: 36 people received fines, 34 — administrative arrest, and 4 — warnings.
