190 combat engagements took place at the front over the past day, a quarter of them in the Pokrovsk sector. The Defense Forces struck once at an important enemy target, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a summary as of 8 a.m. on November 22, UNN reports.

Yesterday, the enemy launched five missile attacks using 13 missiles and 51 air strikes, dropping 85 guided bombs on Ukrainian positions and populated areas. In addition, it carried out more than three thousand attacks, including 139 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used more than 900 kamikaze drones.
One strike on an important enemy target was reportedly carried out by missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces yesterday.
According to the General Staff, the situation is as follows:
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy conducted offensive and assault operations ten times in the area of Starytsia, Vovchansk and Hlyboke.
The number of combat engagements in the Kupyansk sector reached eighteen over the last day. Defense forces repelled occupants' attacks in the areas of Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove and Lozova.
In the Lyman sector, our troops stopped 16 enemy attacks. The invaders concentrated their main efforts in the areas of Tverdokhlibove, Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Terny, Torske and Serebryany forestry.
Ukrainian troops stopped three attempts of the invaders to advance near Chasovyi Yar and Stupochky in the Kramatorsk sector. The situation is under control.
The enemy tried to advance five times in the area of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.
48 attacks were repelled by our troops in the Pokrovsk sector over the last day. The enemy attacked near the settlements of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Petrivka, Chumatske and Pustynka.
The Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the Kurakhove direction. In the areas of Berestky, Sontsivka, Zorya, Kurakhove, Dale, Katerynivka and Antonivka, the occupants tried to break through the lines occupied by the Ukrainian Defense Forces 31 times.
Fourteen enemy attacks were stopped by our defenders in the direction of Trudove, Kostiantynopol, Rozlyv, Sukhi Yaliv and near Novodarivka, which is on the Vremivsky direction.
At the Orikhiv direction, enemy units tried to advance once in the vicinity of Pyatikhatky.
On the Prydniprovsky direction, our soldiers repelled five attacks by Russian invaders on the positions of Ukrainian troops.
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, conducts reconnaissance activities and artillery shelling.
"Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct operations in the Kursk sector, where the enemy launched 15 air strikes using 22 guided missiles over the past day, and our defenders repelled 29 attacks by the invaders," the General Staff said.
