According to the National Police, there are currently 1.4 million weapons in Ukraine. This was stated by Deputy Interior Minister Leonid Tymchenko during a telethon, UNN reports.
"According to the National Police, the number of registered weapons is 1.4 million. The Unified Register of Weapons contains more than 750,000 of them," Tymchenko said.
He added that more than 50% of the weapons accounted for by the National Police are already in the records of the Unified Register of Weapons.
