The megayacht Launchpad, owned by Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, has been accused of having its crew fail to respond to a request for help from a boat that ran out of fuel off the coast of Alaska. The Independent reports this, citing The Alaska Beacon, writes UNN.

In early August, a 21-foot boat found itself in distress between Petersburg and Juneau after running out of fuel. The crew was eventually assisted by the cruise ship Wilderness Legacy.
According to cruise ship passenger Michael Love, Zuckerberg’s yacht was closer to the boat at the time but did not respond to requests from the Coast Guard.

According to him, after the cruise ship’s captain made the announcement, passengers responded to the information by booing.
The Launchpad yacht is approximately 118 meters long and is estimated to be worth $300 million. Zuckerberg himself was not on board at the time of the incident. No information has been provided about the reasons why the yacht’s crew allegedly failed to respond to requests for help.
