Zelenskyy: Ukraine is interested in strengthening trade and economic relations with India

In a phone conversation, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed support for the Peace Formula and the development of bilateral relations with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The President noted that Ukraine is interested in strengthening trade and economic relations with India. UNN reports this with reference to Zelenskyy's post on social media and the Presidential Office.

Zelenskyy thanked Modi for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, for humanitarian aid, and for the active participation of Indian representatives in meetings at the advisory level. 

He also noted that it is important for Ukraine  that India also takes part in the inaugural Peace Summit, which is being prepared in Switzerland.

The parties discussed the development of bilateral relations, one of the elements of which should be a meeting of the teams and a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in New Delhi in the near future.

Ukraine is interested in strengthening trade and economic relations with India, in particular in agricultural exports, cooperation in the aviation industry, and trade in pharmaceuticals and industrial products

- Zelensky said.

The President also indicated that Ukraine would welcome the return of Indian students to Ukrainian educational institutions.

According to Reuters, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will visit India next week to drum up support for Ukraine's "peace plan."
