During his visit to the United Kingdom, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed with top managers of leading British defense companies the prospects for joint arms production, the press service of the head of state reported, according to UNN.

“I thank the UK for its unwavering support for Ukraine. You were the first European country to provide Ukraine with lethal weapons, tanks, and long-range weapons. It was with the UK that we signed the first security agreement. And I am glad that we are further deepening our cooperation in the defense sector,” Zelenskyy said.
During the meeting, the president reportedly discussed with representatives of British defense companies the prospects for joint production of ammunition, air defense systems, guns, armored vehicles, and drones, as well as the repair and maintenance of military equipment transferred by the UK to Ukraine.
Zelenskyy invited British defense companies to work in the Ukrainian market and cooperate with domestic enterprises.
The head of state also noted that Ukraine has significantly increased its own production of ammunition and weapons and is interested in international cooperation.
The meeting was attended by UK Defense Secretary John Healey, Business and Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds, as well as representatives of ADS, UK Export Finance, BAE Systems, Thales UK, MBDA, KBR, Babcock.
