The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution that provides not to apply electricity restriction measures to enterprises that import more than 60% of their consumption. About it UNN reports with reference to The Ministry of energy.
It is reported that in order to create prerequisites for increasing the import of electric energy and ensuring the stability of the power system in the conditions of a shortage of electric energy, the Cabinet of ministers of Ukraine has amended the regulation on the specifics of importing electric energy under the legal regime of martial law in Ukraine.
The government's decision was made taking into account the increase in capacity limits for importing electricity to Ukraine from European countries to 2.1 GW. This will create additional incentives to attract more commercial imports of electric electricity, allow us to develop our own electricity generation and ensure greater stability of the energy system in conditions of shortage
Previously, electricity restriction measures were not provided for enterprises that import more than 80% of electricity for their needs.
Government representative in Parliament Taras Melnychuk said in Telegram that according to the amendments to the regulation, it is planned not to apply measures to limit the selection of electric energy (schedules for limiting electricity consumption, hourly power outages, limiting electricity consumption, emergency shutdowns) to non-domestic consumers., in the total volume of electric energy consumption, in each billing hour, the volume of purchased imported electric energy is not less than 60% of the total volume of electric energy consumption or not less than 60% of the total volume of electric energy consumption is provided by the consumer's own production of electric energy.
