Prosecutors of the Donetsk region have served a notice of suspicion in absentia to a war correspondent from Horlivka, whom investigators believe is involved in the systematic dissemination of Russian propaganda and support for the Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine. This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, according to UNN.

According to the investigation, the suspect is a war correspondent from Horlivka who has been participating in the dissemination of anti-Ukrainian propaganda in the occupied part of the Donetsk region since 2014. He collaborates with pro-Russian media outlets and creates materials that justify the Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine and promote narratives about the alleged "liberation" of Ukrainian territories.
The man also maintains his own Telegram channel, where he publishes content in support of the aggressor state, discredits the current government and the Defense Forces, and organizes fundraising campaigns to supply units of the Russian Armed Forces. In addition, the pseudo-media worker writes and presents books dedicated to the events of the so-called "SMO" (Special Military Operation) and spreads disinformation regarding the shelling of captured cities,
For his active information support of the enemy, the suspect has repeatedly received awards from representatives of the "authorities" of the quasi-republic and the Russian Federation.
Prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office served him a notice of suspicion in absentia for collaborative activities (Part 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the SBU in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Sanctions by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine have also been imposed against him.
The maximum penalty is 12 years behind bars with the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 15 years and the confiscation of property.
