The head of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command , Admiral John C. Aquilino , on Monday expressed great concern over the escalation of military actions by China and Russia in the region. Aquilino met with representatives of the Japanese defense industry ahead of the Keen Edge 24 joint exercise to be held early next year.
According to the publication, the head of the US Indo-Pacific Command said that he was "very concerned" about the intensification of joint military actions by China and Russia in the region.
Aquilino called on China to stop escalating maritime confrontation with its neighbors and said that China's growing military activity with Russia is a serious concern during Russia's war in Ukraine.

Taiwan's Ministry of Defense reported that two Chinese spy balloons crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait, moving eastward at an altitude of 8.2 km, and then disappeared. In addition, the island's military spotted six Chinese planes and two ships in the vicinity.
