The U.S. Embassy provided the following recommendations on what to do:
- Identify shelter locations in advance before an air raid is announced.
- Download a reliable air raid alert app on your mobile phone, such as Air Alert or Alarm Map.
- Immediately seek shelter if an air raid is announced.
- Monitor news from local media.
- Maintain supplies of water, food, and medicine.
- Follow the instructions of Ukrainian officials and emergency response services in the event of an emergency.
- Familiarize yourself with what the State Department can and cannot do in crisis situations.
Context
