The renewal of the “Defense of Ukraine” subject program is aimed at developing important life skills: from first aid to understanding modern technologies. We pay special attention to the development of civic awareness and a system of values that will help our children become responsible members of society. This subject is about opportunities. It's about being prepared for different life situations, helping yourself and others, and being an active citizen of your country
The Ministry of Education and Science said that in the 10th grade, students will study the basics of national security and defense of Ukraine, get acquainted with the principles of management and planning, and study weapons and military equipment.
Considerable attention is also paid to practical skills: terrain orientation, the basics of engineering fortifications, and marksmanship training.
Instead, the 11th grade program focuses on the development of military technologies, information security, and deepening knowledge of first aid. An important aspect is the study of methods of protecting civilians in a crisis, as well as the capabilities and methods of defense of Ukraine.
The content of each module is based on consultations and discussions with experts and dozens of organizations such as Victory Drones, the NGO “Military School ‘Boriviter’, the CF ‘Solomyansky Kotiks’, the All-Ukrainian Resuscitation Council, the OSINT agency ‘Molfar’, etc
AddendumAddendum

- A training day once a month to dive deeper into the material and practice practical skills more effectively. For this purpose, specially equipped centers are created where students can practice their knowledge on new technical equipment.
- Modern equipment - the centers will be equipped with computer simulators for controlling drones, interactive laser shooting simulators, and tools for learning the rules of first aid.
- Teacher training - more than 100 trainers have already been trained and will be able to pass on knowledge to teachers from the regions, improving their skills. This will enable them to teach effectively under the new program and apply modern pedagogical approaches.
