Car owners who have license plates stored in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs must pay for their storage by March 31, otherwise they will be disposed of.
This was announced by the chief specialist in public relations of the regional service center of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv, Daryna Budko, on the air of the telethon, reports UNN.

We have license plates in storage, which car owners detached from their cars during re-registration and left for storage. I want to emphasize that if the car owner knows about this fact, he must, in case of late payment for license plates, contact and pay for responsible storage, otherwise from April 1, 2025, we will destroy such license plates in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 795
She emphasized that this applies exclusively to those license plates that are in storage, but the payment time for them has expired.
This can be done in two ways: the first option is online through the driver's account. In this case, the applicant himself chooses the term of extension of storage, paying the appropriate funds. Another option is to visit the Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs directly by the car owner
According to her, both the car owner and his representative can pay for the storage of license plates directly at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
After April 1, if the payment is not received by the service center, the license plates may be destroyed. Their restoration is not provided. I also want to note that we do not transfer license plates between the Service Centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
