About a week ago, Russian occupants tried to enter the outskirts of Dvorichna village in the Kupiansk direction of Kharkiv region. There is fighting for the bridgehead, but the village is under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. This was stated by the head of the regional administration Oleh Syniehubov in a commentary to Suspilne, UNN reports.

According to him, what is happening now in Dvorichna is another attempt to bypass the city from the north. “I cannot confirm whether there is a presence there at this moment, because, yes, there was information that they crossed the Oskil River by boat, stormed further and, according to the military, they were all eliminated. However, there are forests there, and it is quite difficult to find out whether they are there. Of course, we will take (the military will take) appropriate measures,” said the head of the RMA.
According to Syniehubov, about 800 residents remain in Dvorichna itself.
The head of the RMA said that when the occupiers came in and took certain positions south of the village, which were initially controlled by our military, there were mutual assaults for almost two days - the Defense Forces tried to retake the territories, they tried to hold and strengthen them. “According to our information, all the territories have been regained,” noted Syniehubov and added: “We can't say that we have lost any territories.
“There are active hostilities for this foothold (south of Dvorichna, near the villages of Masiutivka and Zakhidne - ed.), for these positions,” the RMA head emphasized.
Syniehubov also spoke about the Russians' tactics: “They really come in on foot, where it's not very difficult to get through. Then they try to gain a foothold: it can be one or two people, depending on how many survivors there are. And then they gradually build up, gain a foothold in plantations, forests, destroyed buildings. After they accumulate enough forces - 10-20 soldiers - they continue to attack the positions of our military. And if they immediately meet a fight (repulse?), they try to look for other approaches.
In other words, according to Sinegubov, the Russians no longer conduct offensives “head-on,” as they did during their attempt to attack Kharkiv and other settlements, realizing that it is almost impossible for them to displace our military, because there are fortifications, active and passive barriers to defense.
According to the General Staff , since the beginning of the day, December 20, in the Kupyansk sector, the Defense Forces have stopped five invaders' assault actions near Sinkivka, Petropavlivka, Zahryzove and Lozova, and three more clashes are ongoing.
