Since the start of the procedure for declaring firearms found by citizens, more than 1,000 weapons have been declared, UNN reports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Details
Ukrainians have already declared more than 1,000 firearms (including more than 350 assault rifles and 470 smoothbore shotguns) and more than 80,000 rounds of ammunition to the National Police.
Another 59 weapons and more than 18,000 rounds of ammunition were voluntarily handed over to the police by citizens without declaring them.
How to declare found or received weapons?
Provide the weapon and a package of necessary documents (written application; passport; identification code; extract of residence/registration; 3.5×4.5 photo) to the nearest NPU unit, and then wait for the decision to be made.
Recall
UNN wrote that the declaration of firearms continues in Ukraine, with citizens declaring 640 units and 42 thousand rounds of ammunition in the first two weeks. The declaration procedure is simplified, and the number of weapons is not limited.
