Ukrainian officials discussed with airBaltic representatives the resumption of work after the reopening of the airspace

The team of the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development met with representatives of airBaltic. They discussed airBaltic's strategic plans to resume operations in the Ukrainian market, UNN reports.

According to the agency, the conversation is focused on supporting Ukrainian airports during forced downtime, as well as airBaltic's strategic plans to resume operations in the Ukrainian market after the opening of airspace for civilian flights.

"airBaltic is our long-standing and reliable partner: since 2019, more than 300 thousand passengers have been transported from Boryspil and Lviv airports. By the way, the last airBaltic aircraft to leave Boryspil airport was in February 2022, before the airspace was closed.

We hope that the airline will also be one of the first to return to our market as soon as it is safe to do so," commented Oleksandr Kubrakov, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine, Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine.
